On Expressing Yourself

It is not easy being in front of the camera. I totally get it. But portraiture is every bit about collaboration. As your photographer, we will chat about ideas and expectations before our session begins! Don't be shy to share your vision, preferred angles, and desired expressions. Other things to note:

  • The goal is to capture your true essence. Embrace who you are and let your personality shine through. Be comfortable in your own skin and let go of any self-consciousness. Authenticity is the key to creating powerful and meaningful portraits.

  • Lean into your mood and don't be afraid to explore a range of emotions during your portrait session. Whether it's joy, serenity, confidence, or vulnerability, let your emotions flow naturally.

  • Your body language plays a significant role in expressing yourself. Experiment with various poses and movements that reflect your personality and style. I’ll be there to guide and make small tweaks along the way. It is a judgement-free zone!

  • If you start feeling overwhelmed or fatigued during the session, don't hesitate to ask for a break. It's essential to maintain a positive and relaxed mindset. Let's take a moment to regroup, refresh, and recharge.

  • Have fun. Enjoy the experience and celebrate your uniqueness. Trust in the process!
